CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Without doubt the most serious issue facing our planet is that of climate change and global warming. As individuals here isn’t a great deal that we can do about it, however planting trees, which catch carbon from the atmosphere, is open to all of us, and can make a useful contribution to solving the problem. The Gallowsfield Management Committee has sourced 150 young trees for planting this Autumn – thanks to the Woodland Trust. Can you help to plant them? This is a task that children could easily be involved in – indeed every child who plants a tree can have a label attached and watch it grow over many years. There are of course other jobs to be done at this time of the year. So,
